Server Assistant

Duties

• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly using POS (Point of Sale) system Toast POS.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by clearing tables, bussing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to ensure a pristine environment.
• Support food handling and food safety protocols during meal preparation, serving, and cleanup to uphold health standards.
• Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting for moving supplies, trash removal, and setting up banquet or event spaces following safe lifting practices.
• Provide in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, responding to their needs courteously, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Support kitchen operations with basic food prep tasks when needed and assist with food running to ensure timely service.
• Maintain communication with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest requests promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key!
• Ability to perform cleaning duties, bussing tables, and manual handling with attention to safety and efficiency.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Capable of heavy lifting and performing physical tasks while following safe lifting practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
• Prior banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued!

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
