Server Assistant / Expo

We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Server Assistant/Expo to join our team at Spoon East Side. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced restaurant, working closely with both the front and back of house to keep service running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who moves with purpose, communicates well, pays attention to details, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Restaurant experience is preferred, but a good attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important.

What You'll Do

• Run food to guests quickly and accurately.
• Assist servers throughout service and help keep things moving.
• Bus, clean, and reset tables for incoming guests.
• Keep the dining room and service areas clean and organized.
• Work with the kitchen and servers to make sure food gets to the right table at the right time.
• Assist with basic food prep and other side work as needed.
• Help answer guest questions and handle simple requests.
• Use our POS system when needed.
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Pitch in wherever needed during busy service.

What We're Looking For

• Restaurant or food-service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to stay organized.
• Familiarity with Toast or other restaurant POS systems is a plus.
• Spanish-speaking is preferred, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
