About the Role

Fuku Sushi on University is hiring versatile team members. We are a fast-paced sushi restaurant and bar looking for reliable workers who can move quickly and handle high volume.

This role covers both front and back-of-house duties. You will primarily serve and bartend, while actively helping with prep, dishwashing, expo, trash, and table turns to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Shifts & Scheduling

Flexible scheduling based on your provided availability:

• AM Shifts: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• PM Shifts: Staggered starts between 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, or 7:00 PM until close (up to 2:00 AM on bar nights)

Responsibilities

• Take orders, serve food and drinks, and guide guests through the sushi and bar menus.
• Ring orders into the POS system and process payments accurately
• Pour drinks, run expo tickets, and bus tables across the floor.
• Assist with basic food prep and kitchen prep work.
• Wash dishes, take out trash, and maintain overall dining room and kitchen cleanliness.
• Handle side work, restock stations, and jump in on any front-of-house or back-of-house tasks needed to support the shift.
• Follow health, sanitation, and food safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, server, expo, or bar experience preferred.
• Willingness to work both FOH and BOH tasks with a team-first mindset.
• Ability to work fast and multitask during high-volume rushes.
• Must obtain a Pima County Food Handler Card and Arizona Title 4 Alcohol Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Evening and weekend availability.
