Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, showcasing our culinary offerings and beverage selections.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing tabs through systems like OpenTable.
• Upsell menu items such as wines, spirits, cocktails, or special dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area by bussing tables, resetting stations, and adhering to sanitation standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options based on guest preferences.
• Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist with basic food preparation or setup when needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout the dining experience.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling and sales transaction processing to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management platforms is beneficial.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
