Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Engage with guests to provide personalized service, address inquiries about menu items including wine knowledge or cocktail options, and foster guest relations

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink pairing techniques
• Demonstrated ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
• Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to food safety standards
• Knowledge of the food industry trends and culinary practices that enhance guest satisfaction
