Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Handle all sales transactions efficiently while processing payments accurately through POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
• Familiarity with wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for cashiering, sales transaction processing, and accurate cash handling.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
