STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly, part-time, less than 30 hours

REPORTS TO: Dining Services Manager & Director of

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Server is responsible for table service in the community dining rooms.

Primary Job Duties:

• Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.

• Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.

• Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.

• Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.

• Answers pertinent questions about menu items.

• Keep work areas clean and orderly.

• Maintain neat and clean appearance and practice good personal hygiene

• Complete opening and/or closing side work in a timely manner.

• Can be relied upon to be at work on time.

• Follows established time clock procedures as per department guidelines. Does not incur unauthorized overtime.

• Works an on-call rotation, as developed by the Dining Services Manager, with a 24/7 availability during that time to provide coverage to the community.

Experience

Preferred

• -Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. -Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train. -Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
