Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately while handling cash handling duties responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and manage guest flow
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations skills by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently including cocktails, spirits, wine, and specialty drinks
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred for better understanding of menu offerings
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
• Familiarity with restaurant operations such as bussing tables, host/hostess duties, and sanitation protocols
