Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting with guest needs to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
• Support guest relations by providing personalized service, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests
• Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including cleaning, stocking supplies, and ensuring the dining area is inviting

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates memorable guest experiences
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts without sacrificing quality of service
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing tabs efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
• Experience in host/hostess roles or bussing enhances your ability to support team operations seamlessly
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth service flow
