Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions smoothly
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Handle cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in processing payments
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas including tables, bar, and service stations
• Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper handling procedures for food and beverages
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
• Assist with bussing tables, refilling beverages, and resetting tables to maintain a seamless flow of service
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items including wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to provide expert recommendations

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately and handle financial exchanges responsibly
• Experience with beverage service including cocktails, wine knowledge, spirits, and drink presentation
• Culinary experience or background in fine dining settings is advantageous
• Basic math skills for order calculations, billing, and change handling
• Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude that promotes guest relations
