Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Assist with food safety practices, food handling, and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery, including food prep and bussing duties
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems for guest seating management and table turnover
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Support beverage service including spirits experience, wine knowledge, drink service, and cocktail preparation

Requirements

• Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS or TOAST; experience with POS processing is essential
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple tables or sections
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
• Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service preferred
• Excellent communication skills; ability to upsell menu items confidently
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a hospitality setting
