Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide expert recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS, ensuring prompt and correct delivery.
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation, food safety, and sanitation standards are upheld at all times.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, processing payments accurately, and balancing registers.
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations.
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow.
• Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Support team members by collaborating effectively in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or fine dining venues.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems including Toast POS and Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving, bussing, and assisting in kitchen or host/hostess duties.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
• Experience with reservation platforms such as OpenTable helps streamline seating arrangements for optimal guest flow.
