Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring quick processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper beverage service techniques, including cocktail and spirits service
• Upsell menu items to increase sales and maximize guest satisfaction by recommending wine pairings or specialty drinks based on guest preferences
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments efficiently, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting in food preparation when needed
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed diligently during food handling, serving, and sanitation practices to uphold health standards

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while delivering attentive guest service
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques is desirable
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres
• Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
• Prior roles such as host/hostess or busser that involved guest interaction are beneficial for success in this position
