Big Catch Seafood House is a full-service Asian seafood, sushi, and fusion restaurant seeking an energetic, polished, and guest-focused Server to join our front-of-house team.

We are looking for someone with a warm personality, strong communication skills, professional presentation, and the ability to create a welcoming dining experience. Bartending, cocktail, or beverage-service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service
• Learn the full menu, including seafood, sushi, sauces, ingredients, and lunch specials
• Take accurate orders and enter them correctly into Toast POS
• Make appropriate menu and beverage recommendations
• Maintain awareness of every assigned table throughout the dining experience
• Work as a team and assist other servers when guests need attention
• Prepare non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails
• Assist with cocktail and alcohol service when the restaurant’s beverage program is active and all legal requirements have been met
• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work
• Prepare sauces, utensils, glassware, and table settings
• Process guest payments and complete individual Toast checkout at the end of each shift
• Maintain personal cash accurately when assigned a server bank
• Check the restroom according to the restaurant schedule and report cleaning issues
• Follow restaurant standards regarding uniforms, grooming, sanitation, phone use, attendance, and guest interaction
• Assist with food running, bussing, and other front-of-house duties when needed

Qualifications

• Full-service restaurant experience preferred
• Bartending, cocktail preparation, or beverage-service experience is strongly preferred
• Friendly, confident, energetic, and comfortable communicating with guests
• Professional appearance consistent with restaurant uniform and grooming standards
• Strong spoken English; additional languages are a plus
• Experience with Toast POS is preferred
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow scheduling and shift-change procedures
• Able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and 2–4 shifts per week
• Able to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• California Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within the required timeframe
• Must meet all applicable legal and certification requirements before performing alcohol service

Compensation

• $16.90 per hour
• Eligible tips in accordance with applicable law and restaurant policy
• Part-time, approximately 2–4 shifts per week
• Black restaurant uniform required
