Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest experience through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations and spirits experience
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including food handling and sanitation practices
• Manage cash handling accurately, process payments securely, and give correct change during transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized service station, bus tables (bussing), and assist in food preparation when needed to support kitchen operations
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining exposure or hospitality background
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or similar platforms for processing sales efficiently
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
• Demonstrated ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Experience with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices
• Ability to multitask effectively with excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales efficiently

Pay: $21.00 - $65.00 per hour
