About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Server to join the team at Y SPORT BAR PADANG-PADANG in Bali. This is a contract position based in our vibrant beachfront venue. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional service to our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. This role is fundamental to creating memorable experiences for our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our bar and dining services.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, seating them appropriately and presenting menus
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders from customers and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and drinks promptly and courteously, ensuring all items are delivered to the correct guests
• Maintaining knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings to provide informed recommendations
• Ensuring tables are properly set, clean and well-maintained throughout service
• Processing payments and managing the till or payment systems with accuracy
• Clearing and resetting tables between seatings, maintaining a tidy dining area
• Responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and food handling standards
• Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a server or in a similar waiting staff role, ideally within a hospitality setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities to manage multiple tables efficiently
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry items safely
• Reliability and punctuality, with a flexible approach to shift work including evenings and weekends
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards is desirable
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
