Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu offerings with enthusiasm and detailed product knowledge.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling premium items like wines or spirits.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine selections, and spirits to provide expert recommendations and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols throughout service.
• Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure seamless service flow.
• Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle inquiries professionally, and resolve any concerns promptly to ensure a memorable experience.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong culinary knowledge combined with beverage expertise including cocktails, spirits, wine pairing, and drink service.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Proven customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to connect with diverse guests.
• Experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, fine dining establishments or nightclubs demonstrating adaptability in various environments.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions seamlessly.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous experience in roles such as host/hostess or cashier is advantageous for providing comprehensive guest services.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism and attentiveness throughout service.
