Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS and Aloha POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations and beverage recommendations
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and give correct change while maintaining accountability
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in line with food safety regulations; assist with food handling and preparation when needed
• Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction during their visit

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or Aloha POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability in beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours
• Solid customer service skills with a friendly attitude and a focus on guest satisfaction
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
