Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Process cash transactions and credit card payments accurately, handling cash safely and adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, booths, and service stations; bus tables promptly to ensure a tidy dining environment.
• Provide knowledgeable wine and spirits recommendations based on guest preferences, demonstrating your expertise in beverage service.
• Support food safety standards by following sanitation protocols during food handling and preparation.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience in restaurants, fine dining establishments, or nightclubs is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash safely.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bussing is advantageous but not required.
