We are premium Japanese restaurant with an upscale, downtown Chicago vibe in Glenview IL seeking team members. Join our vibrant team as a Server and become the heart of an exceptional dining experience! Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs proactively

Requirements

• Previous Japanese food service or restaurant experience in fine dining or casual settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts and multitask seamlessly
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and calculating bills accurately
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
