Job Summary

Moore Coffee Shop is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Counter Server to join our team. The successful candidate will provide welcoming counter service, prepare coffee and beverages, serve food and pastries, maintain a clean and organized café, and support smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering fast, accurate, and friendly service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional counter service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, and other drinks according to café standards
• Serve pastries, sandwiches, and other menu items
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately
• Answer guest questions and provide helpful information about menu items
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter and service area
• Clean and sanitize counters, tables, equipment, utensils, and workstations
• Restock coffee beans, milk, cups, food items, condiments, and other supplies
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Support team members during busy service periods
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily café duties
• Monitor inventory and report low-stock items to management
• Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience is preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
• Basic POS and cash-handling knowledge is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions and café procedures
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks
