Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist them in seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and relay orders promptly to the kitchen
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties and process payments using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy service hours to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable; experience with food industry software is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to engage guests effectively
• Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items and managing sales goals confidently
• Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous but not required
• Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills seamlessly
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is preferred; hospitality background highly valued
