Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with food safety standards
• Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering and sales transaction processing skills are essential
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation, wine, spirits, and cocktail crafting is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest needs professionally
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions
• Food safety certification or understanding of sanitation standards required; experience with food handling preferred
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous; hospitality background is valued
