Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items by suggesting popular dishes, beverages, or specials to enhance the guest experience.
• Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and provide correct change using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously.
• Support food handling and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Contribute to a lively atmosphere in settings such as nightclubs or fine dining venues by providing exceptional service that encourages repeat visits.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Prior experience in serving roles such as host/hostess or bussing is advantageous.
• Culinary experience or kitchen background can be beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.
