Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Ensure food safety and sanitation by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness at all times
• Assist in food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff to deliver timely service
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly while providing attentive guest services
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment consistent with sanitation standards in the food industry

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with strong knowledge of the food industry standards
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cashiering
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours without compromising service quality
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and interact positively with guests
• Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Kitchen experience or hospitality background is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued

Pay: $17.60-$17.75 per hour
