Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and social server to join our team. Our perfect candidate loves working with people and providing a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, and handling special requests.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while making sure items meet correctness and quality standards.
• Provide menu recommendation and upsell items to enhance guest experience.
• Ensure that all checks opened are closed out before the end of the shift.
• Run food to courts and ensure tables are clean before the next batch of guests arrive.
• Clean tables and bus tables.
• Move and prepare tables ahead of events.

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
• Familiarity with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and alcohol safety regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is desirable
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays or boxes, and perform cleaning duties as required
