Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety protocols
• Upsell menu items by highlighting specials, pairing suggestions, and premium options to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage table settings, clear dishes, buss tables, and maintain cleanliness throughout the service period
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation times and ensure timely delivery of orders
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergy information to assist guests effectively
• Uphold sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health regulations
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up stations or cleaning work areas

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience in a food service environment is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
• Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently
