Server – Dragon Palace

Dragon Palace is seeking a friendly, dependable, and attentive server to join our team. Our servers are responsible for creating a welcoming dining experience while providing efficient, knowledgeable, and professional service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options
• Accurately take and enter orders using the restaurant’s POS system
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
• Maintain high standards of presentation, quality, and order accuracy
• Learn the menu and answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation, and dietary needs
• Make thoughtful recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales
• Check on guests throughout their meals and respond promptly to requests or concerns
• Process cash and credit-card payments accurately and manage guest tabs responsibly
• Pre-bus, clean, sanitize, and reset tables according to restaurant standards
• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing sidework
• Restock and clean service areas continuously throughout each shift
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, alcohol-service, and proper food-handling requirements
• Communicate and collaborate with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure timely service
• Support coworkers when needed and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
• Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous restaurant, food-service, or hospitality experience is preferred
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to engage positively with guests and handle a variety of needs professionally
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs
• Knowledge of food-safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling
• Experience recommending and upselling menu items
• Dependable, punctual, and able to accept feedback professionally
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team
• Ability to stand throughout the shift and carry trays safely
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must meet all applicable age requirements for serving alcohol
