Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper handling of all sales transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy hours, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
• Build positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Skills

• Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong culinary knowledge coupled with cocktail, spirits, wine knowledge, and beverage service expertise
• Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is advantageous but not required; a background in food industry roles such as host/hostess or cashier is valuable
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions efficiently
• Demonstrated teamwork skills with the ability to support colleagues during busy shifts in a lively environment
