Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with menu selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring clarity and precision
• Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits with professionalism, including drink service and wine knowledge to elevate guest enjoyment
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Upsell menu items including specialty drinks or desserts to maximize sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like upselling and OpenTable reservations management
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs promptly for a seamless dining experience

Requirements

• Prior food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Experience with cocktail preparation, spirits, wine knowledge, and beverage service is highly desirable
