Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper presentation standards
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, serving, and bussing activities
• Assist with food preparation, table clearing, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
• Demonstrate extensive beverage knowledge including spirits, wine pairings, cocktail mixing, and drink service techniques
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and quality standards are met

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is required; fine dining experience is highly preferred
• Proven ability to handle POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS efficiently
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Experience with customer service roles that involve guest interaction and relationship building
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours while maintaining high-quality service standards
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records
