Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, highlighting daily specials and beverage options
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
• Maintain knowledge of wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to assist guests in making informed choices
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Clear tables promptly and assist with bussing to keep the dining area tidy and inviting
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed during busy periods

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles within restaurants or fine dining establishments
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Extensive beverage knowledge including wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and drink service techniques
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to enhance guest interactions
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the restaurant setting
• Experience with nightclubs or nightlife venues is a plus for dynamic service environments
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities

Pay: From $10.70 per hour
