Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Upsell menu items like cocktails, wines, spirits, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting with food handling and kitchen support when needed
• Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or beverage options such as wine knowledge or cocktail experience

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles with a focus on guest relations
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell beverages like spirits or wine confidently to enhance the dining experience
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation practices in food handling and preparation
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and coordinate service smoothly
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions
