Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques.
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting with guest needs to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability.
• Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols, food handling guidelines, and proper food preparation procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues swiftly to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Use reservation management platforms like OpenTable to assist with guest seating arrangements and reservations.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience or food service background is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions.
• Experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles within the food industry enhances your candidacy.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
• Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.
• Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
