Job Overview

OshiNori is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Server to join our team in Vancouver.

We are looking for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working as part of a team. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for our guests, explaining our menu, taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages, and helping maintain a clean and organized restaurant.

Knowledge of Japanese food, sake, wine, or cocktails is an asset, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly and attentive service
• Explain menu items and answer questions about food and beverages
• Take food and drink orders accurately using our POS system (Toast)
• Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally
• Check on guests throughout their dining experience
• Process payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, patio, and service stations
• Assist with opening, closing, and side duties
• Restock service areas as needed
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
• Help create a positive and welcoming environment for guests and coworkers

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts
• Serving It Right certification is an asset
• Experience with Toast POS is an asset, but not required

Pay: $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
