Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper handling of cash handling and sales transactions
• Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with food safety regulations
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or dietary restrictions

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Demonstrated ability to upsell beverages including spirits and wine while delivering exceptional customer service
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills effectively
• Experience with cocktail making and beverage service preferred; spirits experience is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a fast-paced restaurant environment
