Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling and sales transaction processing
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and beverage service techniques
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Uphold sanitation standards through proper food handling practices and adherence to health regulations
• Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles such as restaurant server, bartender, or host/hostess with a focus on guest relations
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS or similar platforms for order processing and sales transactions
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase revenue opportunities
• Prior experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy to create welcoming atmospheres
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus but not required

Pay: $2.20 - $5.00 per hour
