Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options including wine, spirits, and cocktails.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including food safety standards, food handling procedures, and beverage offerings like cocktails and wine.
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
• Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address concerns promptly, and promote specials or upselling opportunities like premium spirits or wine pairings.

Experience

• Proven food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable reservations system is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a lively attitude.
• Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation.
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately while demonstrating basic math skills.
• Experience in food handling, sanitation procedures, and food safety standards within the food industry.
• Previous roles involving upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction are highly desirable.

Pay: From $12.77 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
