Smith’s American Tavern is looking for an experienced, dependable server to join our team. We’re looking for someone who gives great service, works well in a team, stays composed when it gets busy, and can be counted on to show up ready to work.

For the right person, there is also an opportunity to become a Shift Manager/Keyholder, with additional responsibilities and higher hourly pay while working in that role.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, attentive service and create a great guest experience
• Handle multiple tables efficiently during busy services
• Work closely with bartenders, servers, hosts, and the kitchen
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities
• Maintain a clean and organized section and service area
• Help create a positive, accountable team environment

What We’re Looking For

• Prior full-service restaurant serving experience required
• Sunday availability preferred
• Availability for nights and weekends
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant
• Strong communication and guest-service skills
• Bar knowledge or bartending experience is a plus
• Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol

For Candidates Interested in Keyholder Growth

Strong performers may have the opportunity to train as a Shift Manager/Keyholder. This is still a hands-on FOH position—you’ll serve or bartend while also being trusted with opening/closing, basic guest recovery, comps, and helping keep the shift running smoothly.
