Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements as a Host/Hostess if needed
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with basic math skills
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities through friendly suggestions and product knowledge
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
• Support food preparation, bussing tables, and assisting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or fine dining environments is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Culinary experience or beverage expertise including cocktail making, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service skills
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude; ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in hospitality settings such as nightclubs or restaurants; host/hostess background is advantageous
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in sales transaction processing
• Basic math proficiency for order calculations and change handling; familiarity with food industry terminology is beneficial
