Position Title: Server / Waitstaff

Department: Front of House (FOH)

Reports To: Floor Manager / Shift Supervisor / General Manager

Position Overview

The Server is the primary point of contact for guests in the dining room, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional hospitality from seating to payment. This role requires excellent multitasking abilities, a deep knowledge of the menu, and a commitment to ensuring every guest has a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon seating, present menus, and answer questions regarding food, beverage items, daily specials, and dietary restrictions.

Order Taking & Accuracy: Accurately take food and drink orders, inputting them correctly into the Point of Sale (POS) system in a timely manner.

Service Delivery: Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct placement, proper presentation, and that all modifications or special requests are honored.

Table Maintenance: Continuously monitor tables throughout the meal, pre-bussing unnecessary plates, clearing glassware, refilling beverages, and anticipating guest needs.

Payment Processing: Prepare and present checks accurately, process cash, credit card, or digital payments efficiently through the POS system, and handle cash drawer responsibilities according to company policy.

Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized station and dining area, adhering strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Teamwork: Assist fellow front-of-house and back-of-house staff—including bussers, runners, and kitchen personnel—to maintain smooth restaurant operations during peak hours.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred, but strong candidates with a hospitality background will be considered.

Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills, with a friendly, professional, and customer-first demeanor.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and safely carry trays, plates, and glassware weighing up to 30 pounds.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with restaurant POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square, Aloha) is a strong advantage.

Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $2.13 - $2.14 per hour
