Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and openTable reservations with precision
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and address guest needs promptly
• Foster positive guest relations by providing personalized service and resolving any concerns professionally

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
• Experience with fine dining environments or upscale establishments is highly desirable
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like suggestive selling or OpenTable prompts
• Background in food service or hospitality roles including serving, host/hostess duties, or nightclub experience
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
• Effective communication skills to engage guests warmly and coordinate with team members seamlessly
• Knowledge of food industry standards related to food preparation, sanitation, and guest services
