Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing transactions efficiently.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and other beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the guest experience while increasing sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards through proper food handling, bussing tables, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional guest service by addressing questions about menu items, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, with experience processing sales transactions accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest concerns professionally.
• Culinary experience or food industry knowledge is preferred to better assist guests with menu questions.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; understanding of sanitation practices is essential.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
