Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
• Upsell menu items including specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions about menu options, wine pairings, or dietary needs
• Support opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning work areas to ensure smooth operations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders in a fine dining setting

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order management
• Proven experience in food service roles with a focus on fine dining or upscale environments
• Strong beverage expertise including cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and drink service
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs seamlessly
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation practices in food handling
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Previous experience with serving in a restaurant environment with a focus on hospitality excellence
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation processes is a plus
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
