Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering and processing payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting stations, and adhering to sanitation protocols in line with food safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours in a restaurant setting

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant roles, including serving, host/hostess duties, or bartending in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service times
• Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a restaurant setting
