Responsibilities

• Must be responsible and have a willingness to learn.
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing host/hostess experience when applicable.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including spirits and cocktail service.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items based on guest preferences and food industry expertise.
• Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling practices, and sanitation procedures throughout service.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing payments and managing tabs.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest experiences.
