Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining proper drink service etiquette
• Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with integrity
• Upsell menu items such as premium drinks or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring a positive dining atmosphere at all times

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest concerns professionally
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques including drink presentation and garnishing
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience in serving or host/hostess roles that demonstrate guest relations expertise
