Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Upsell menu items such as cocktails, wines, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including spirits, wines, and food ingredients to answer guest questions confidently
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and serving processes
• Assist in setting up tables, cleaning workstations, and resetting tables for new guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues quickly
• Handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism to foster guest satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for processing orders and transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively
• Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation techniques
• Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
• Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food handling and serving roles
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as serving, clearing tables, or assisting guests comfortably
