Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Micros POS when available
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments
• Up-sell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including food handling and sanitation practices
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
• Assist with basic maths calculations for bills, tips, and transactions to ensure accuracy
• Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction

Experience

• Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cashiering and billing purposes
• Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally

Pay: $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 35.0 per week
