Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, including host/hostess duties when needed
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wine and spirits, to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety protocols
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately while processing payments efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; bus tables and assist with food handling as necessary
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs confidently
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
